Bespoke Rooflights enhance March House
In 2022, we had the pleasure of supplying our rooflights for a new residential property designed by multi-award-winning architects Knox Bhavan, based on the bank of the River Thames. Named March House, the project specified several different Flat Glass Rooflights to suit different spaces within the building. As well as the Fixed Rooflight above the main living area, we designed, manufactured, and installed an Electric Sliding Rooflight for both ventilation and roof access, a Bespoke Circular Rooflight over an ensuite bathroom, and a slim Wall-Abutting Rooflight that runs parallel to a tight hallway.

Since it was constructed on the bank of the River Thames, the property is elevated on stilts to tackle the increasing flood risk in the area. March House settles into its surrounding orchard with a thriving green roof, and the inclusion of our rooflights highlights the owner’s consideration for the environment.
With sustainability being such an important factor in modern architecture, homeowners are always looking for ways to reduce their energy usage. Our rooflights are a great solution for this, as on top of looking impressive, they provide March House with natural lighting and the warmth of the sun. They are suited for insulation to keep the property warm during the colder months, while still presenting a brilliant view of the sky.

March House won multiple awards
Seeing our rooflights on AJ’s House of the Year 2022 is an enormous honour, especially considering that March House won more than just that title. The project was also critically acclaimed by RIBA, receiving their South Award 2023 and South Sustainability Award 2023.
